My work

I search for the area and atmosphere where dimensions
collide. Where distinctions between physical and
mental elements diffuse, and where there is no border
between life and death, nor between past, present
and future.
 
My work consists of texts (see Word), as well as
2d and 3d art (see Image).
My work is witness to the area that I call
"Tegenruimte" (Dutch for counterspace) and embodies
atmospheres, memories, associations and mental
connotations.
 
In my work I try to break the borders between
various disciplines and materials, which becomes most
visible in my painting with tape and my 2D approach
of sculpture. You can follow my artistic process here.

    De jaren tekenen de buitenmuren.
    De tijd spoelt aan ons raam voorbij,
    maar binnen houdt ons samen -
    binnen fixeren we de tijd. 

    Binnen de kaders van de kaart,
    binnen de kaders van het frame,
    binnen de kaders van elkaar.
     
    Het water zal ooit de stenen uitslijten
    en wat ons rest dat zal verstromen
    tot ook wij de buitenmuren tekenen
    met onze ontwerpen en onze dromen.
